Hydra Connector
Pipe Screen

The Hydra Connector Pipe Screen (Hydra CPS) technology can be retrofitted into any curb or drop inlet to help municipalities meet stormwater regulations and comply with their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) or municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) permit. Hydra CPS devices can be used for new site developments as the first line of defense to prevent trash and debris from reaching downstream stormwater systems, where they can cause clogging and unnecessary maintenance burdens. The Hydra CPS captures 100% of trash and debris 5mm and greater.

Advantages

  • Captures 100% of trash and debris 5mm and greater
  • 100% Stainless steel construction utilizing only perforated metal construction
  • Modular design allows it to adapt to any pipe sizes ranging from 4 inches to 48 inches
  • Modular design allows for design flexibility

Configurations

U-Shape

The Hydra CPS U-Shape is the most common design, fit to address outflow pipes positioned near the center of stormwater catch basins.

L-Shape

The Hydra CPS L-Shape creatively and efficiently accommodates outflow pipes that are off-center in the catch basin.

Maintenance & Installation

Maintenance

The Hydra CPS makes any catch basin a Full Trash Capture device. Maintenance of the catch basin can be performed using a standard vacuum truck or removed by hand.

Installation

The modular design of the system makes installation fast and easy. Rounded end pieces and center sections fit through any standard manhole. The system is assembled using self-tapping screws and concrete drive pins.
