Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Certifies the Modular Wetlands System Linear

The Modular Wetlands System Linear (MWS Linear), is capable of exceeding 80% total suspended solids (TSS) removal from data collected over the course of 2 years and “included appropriate rain fall analogous to the Atlanta Metro area.” The MWS Linear is now certified by the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), “for use in post-construction stormwater controls.” The MWS Linear has multiple stages of treatment that give it superior pollutant capacity and maintenance efficiencies. When it is time to clean the system out, trapped pollutants have been compartmentalized in an easy-to-access pretreatment chamber which is cleaned with a typical vacuum truck. The horizontal flow design allows the system to efficiently provide the same treatment as other systems with an even smaller footprint. So, while landowners or managers enjoy long-term low maintenance costs, developers benefit from low excavation and construction costs.

The Modular Wetlands System Linear is one of the most accredited stormwater systems in the world, giving engineers and developers huge regulatory advantages:

  • 85% Total Suspended Solids (TSS) removal
  • 64% Total Phosphorus removal
  • 50% Total Copper removal
  • 45% Nitrogen removal
  • 69% Total Zinc removal
  • Saves Land, Maximizes Surface Area
  • Pretreatment Chamber captures Trash, Sediments, Debris, and Hydrocarbons
  • Low Maintenance Demand
